This is a really great album, and the review by Anthony Fantano of “Random Access Memories” is AWESOME (as usual). It’s always good when probably the most talked about and anticipated music of the year actually lives up to the hype.

I listened to the new Daft Punk album three times yesterday (it’s the Slacker album of the week), and I think I may have to buy it. Very disco, exceptionally well produced, and just, well, a great album. And I’m a sucker for a great, coherent work of music. And their collaborators… are the cream of the crop. It’s just an excellent example of what happens when you care about what you’re doing and work hard to make it the best you possibly can. Here’s one of my favorites:
